If you have worshipped before or currently do, you likely know what you seek in a church. Why not visit us to see if we meet your expectations? At the very least, we hope you’ll feel welcomed, at home, and in God’s presence.
If you’re new to faith or exploring it, you probably have more questions than we can address here. You’re very welcome to reach out, and we’ll do our best to help with your inquiries.
Everyone has questions before trying something new. We’ve attempted to answer some common ones, but if we missed anything, feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to provide answers.
What is a service like? Our Sunday morning service offers something for everyone, whether you’re a new visitor or a regular member. Aside our Minister, different local ministers and preachers lead the worship each week.
We typically use a modern projector and screen for music, prayers, and readings. There’s no pressure to participate; you’re welcome to simply observe and see what our worship is like. If anything is unfamiliar, ask the person who welcomes you or someone nearby.
How long are your services? Our Sunday services usually last around an hour, followed by tea and coffee.
What is the music like? We have an excellent church organ for most services, but sometimes we use a piano or play recorded songs through the projector. We use a mixture of modern and traditional songs.
Will I know what to do? Most people find their first visit more informal than expected. We are a friendly group, and we hope you’ll feel comfortable to relax and get to know us. You can join in or just observe, as you prefer.
What about Communion? Communion, which involves sharing bread and wine, is an important part of our community, reminding us of Jesus’ sacrifice. We have Communion once a month, served to you in your seat. Everyone is invited to participate, but you can decline if you wish.
What should I wear? Dress as you feel comfortable. Our congregation ranges from casual to dressed-up attire. The choice is yours.
What happens to my children during the service? Children are welcome at our services. After about 20 minutes, they can join other activities in a different part of our building. They can stay with you or join the group. Speak to the person welcoming you for more information. All our leaders are DBS-checked, and we have a full safeguarding policy, available on our home page.
Do I have to give money to the collection? No, you don’t. Feel free to pass the collection bag. Many members and regular attendees support the church through donations, standing orders, or Gift Aid envelopes. If you would like to give to the Church, Click here…..Giving
What about prayer? Prayer is central to our church life, making a difference in people’s lives. It helps us discover God’s love and constant presence. We have a prayer request board as you enter and a prayer box outside the church door for anytime requests.
What next? We hope you enjoy your first visit and experience God’s presence. We believe God offers hope to everyone and strive to help others discover this. Sunday services are a great starting point, but you can also talk to a service leader or elder about other opportunities.
We offer various social activities, coffee mornings, and Bible study groups, though some are currently on hold. If you have more questions, feel free to contact us or ask someone when you arrive.
Come and visit. We look forward to welcoming you.
